SUMI-E is Japanese for ink “Sumi” and painting “e”
The philosophy of Sumi-e is contrast and harmony - expressing simple beauty and elegance
This class will teach First Gentleman: Bamboo
Learning the fine art of mastering the brush to create the subtle strokes required in Sumi-e
There will be an overview of Sumi-e and the Four Gentlemen.
All participants will leave with at least one completed piece of work.

Please bring any Asian Art Supplies you may have such as Brushes, paper, ink or paints.
